Public Libraries Victoria is a collaborative and advocacy organisation and the peak body for Victorian public library managers, comprising representatives of every public library service in the state. Initiatives range from information sharing and training to setting up of consortia to conduct projects and purchase materials in a collaborative manner.

In September 2019, the inaugural Public Libraries Victoria Conference will take place at the Arts Centre Melbourne. The Libraries Change Lives theme is to build on the current advocacy campaign that is front and centre for Victorian public libraries. 

The Libraries Change Lives streams within the conference are:
