The Carter Centre conference 'Inform Women, Transform Lives' will focus on the importance of transparency and access to information for women, and the obstacles they face. Looking to take practical steps, it will idenitfy entry-points, and establish priority actions for ensuring an effective, meaningful, and universal right of access to information.

Past IFLA President Donna Scheeder will participate in a panel on 'National Approaches', bringing to the table experience from libraries around the world, as well as the lessons from IFLA's Development and Access to Information Report, produced in partnership with the Technology and Social Change Group at the University of Washington.
