There are only two days to go to IFLA’s extraordinary General Assembly, to be held at 08:00 AEDT on 12 February (22:00 CET on 11 February). It is at this meeting that members will decide on the proposed new Statutes for the Federation. Two years of discussion and work have resulted in new Statutes which will shape a modern and agile governance structure and offer enhanced participation opportunities for library professionals from all areas of the globe.

The General Assembly will be held in Melbourne, Australia at CAVAL, 4 Park Drive, Bundoora and beamed live to the world. IFLA’s members have been sent a webinar link to watch the meeting. Interested volunteers and library professionals are warmly invited to join us as we stream live on IFLA’s YouTube channel.

IFLA has developed a Global Vision, a Strategy for a strong and united library field, and now a structure to help us deliver on the ambition of the Strategy. Join us at this key milestone in IFLA’s journey to becoming a more inclusive, effective and transparent organisation.
