7th African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development

Building forward better: towards a resilient and green Africa to achieve the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063

25 February – 4 March 2021

Brazzaville, Republic of Congo

IFLA will be represented by Victoria Okojie and Damilare Oyedele

This year’s African Regional Forum for Sustainable Development – the seventh such meeting – will offer a platform to hear about progress towards the SDGs across Africa.

The need to support a strong and equitable response to and recovery from COVID-19 will be at the heart of discussions. To this end, delegates will work to identify insights and recommendations to send on to the UN High-Level Political Forum in July.

IFLA will be present in order to make the case for access to information, and the libraries that provide it, as an accelerator of development.

In particular, we are organising a side-event on 25 February – further details are available on our events page.
